DICASTERY FOR INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE

Established by Pope St. Paul VI, the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue (DID)'s goal is to promote respect, mutual understanding, and collaboration between Catholics and the followers of others religious traditions.

DICASTERY FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY

Established by Pope St. John XXIII, the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity (DPCU) is entrusted with the promotion, within the Catholic Church, of an authentic ecumenical spirit. It is also active in all areas that can contribute to promoting Christian unity by strengthening relationships with other Churches and Ecclesial Communities.
